On August 26, 1917 the cornerstone of the building in which the members of St. Paul's worship today was laid. On Sunday, September 17, 2017 a service of rededication and picnic were held to celebrate the 100 year aniversary of the laying of that cornerstone. The service was entitled "Christ our Chief Cornerstone." Though the walls of the church building will one day fall, the Church, that is, the universal Church of God's elect, will last forever. Pastor Sims preached on 1 Peter 2:4-10 and focused on the fact that we are like living stones built into the Church. God uses us who believe to build the Church and we rejoice and praise Him because we are part of His eternal family.
